“I prefer winter and fall, when you feel the bone structure of the landscape - the loneliness of it, the dead feeling of winter. Something waits beneath it, the whole story doesn't show.”
If I had to rate my weekend it would have been a mixed
review article, I spent my weekend with lovely friends on Saturday, however Sunday
wasn’t that wonderful, my mom was very
sick and it made me feel out of place, to make things better my cousin came to
visit with Amazing news! We’re talking
our annual trip to Oregon!! I can
picture those tall mountains , the trip will take place in November so am sure
the white snow will hypnotize me, the cool wind will blow me of my feet, the
wonderful animals ill see will be extraordinary (deer mostly) and the
multiple coffee’s and hot chocolate ill have, while enjoying amazing friends
will be wonderful. I have camping supply’s but Oregon isn’t tender on your skin
nor on your feet during the months of November so I created a "Camping Wish
List"
“There is a pleasure in the pathless woods; There is a rapture on the lonely shore; There is society, where none intrudes,By the deep sea, and music in its roars:I love not man the less, but Nature more...” ― George Gordon Byron

“I am pessimistic about the human race because it is too ingenious for its own good. Our approach to nature is to beat it into submission. We would stand a better chance of survival if we accommodated ourselves to this planet and viewed it appreciatively instead of skeptically and dictatorially.”

TheThere is a privacy about it which no other season gives you.... In spring, summer and fall people sort of have an open season on each other; only in the winter, in the country, can you have longer, quiet stretches when you can savor belonging to yourself. -Ruth Stout
